Hi my name's Vincent. First car->Honda Civic
The title pretty much explains it all. I came to the forum to work on my new Civic. It's my first actual car. A silver 2002 Honda Civic Coupe. Looking forward to doing some work on it! Thanks for having me.
I want to aim towards longevity. I purchased the 2002 Civic Coupe with 145,000 miles. I know that the transmission has roughly 22,000 miles.
I'm not sure how good it was taken care of previously. I wish to aim towards longevity with the engine it already has. It'd be awesome to know a few things to start from.
Which parts should I replace, that are likely to help the engine/vehicle achieve 300k+ miles from where it stands. I'm willing to buy parts and do things myself based on learning from youtube and stuff. I'm self taught with most of the things I've learned; Web programming, Chemistry, etc..
I just have to learn which things to start with. The major stuff, and then what comes afterwards. For engine/vehicle longevity.
One final question, What's the BEST oil and oil filter I should buy with my current scenario? What will be all of the best oils I should use? (145k mileage) PS. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Also, why can't I post in any other forum area. ps.thanks again. Take care
