Hello everyone!
I'm Chris, a 22 year old male from NYC, and hopefully about to own a honda or acura as his first car. I look forward to spending time on these forums with you guys, and learning over time. Which is precisely why I signed up on here, to get help from the best honda / acura guys possible!
I'm about to be moving to Tampa, FL, and I'm gonna need a car when I'm out there. Currently I'm out here in NYC, so it hasn't been a problem. I've had my license for about 2 years, and have driving experience since I've gotten it, but my car experience only ranges from being able to drive to being able to realize probably basic problems. I'm genuinely interested in Honda or an Acura car as my first car purchase, but I just have a couple of Q's.
First, estimated, what kind of honda or acura do you think I can score from 3000 to 7000?
Second, when I'm buying a car used, what are some of the first things I should check for? Especially in these types of cars?
Is there anything else I might be missing to ask in regards to buying a first car? lol.
On the Honda side, i'm interested in a Civic or an Accord. On the acura side, probably an integra as I know RSX insurance rates are apparently insane due to safety.
My main reason for choosing Honda is I know reliability is known to be pretty good. Also, parts and repairs are cheaper for Honda cars than most if I'm not mistaken. If I'm being vague with anything and you might need any more information to further assist me, let me know! I'd appreciate any help I can get, thank you all for your time and sorry for all the text!
