New 2008 CRV EX Owner!
Awesome vehicle. Picked up from dealer H Certified with 48xxx miles on the ticker. It's in beautiful shape and drives like a champ.
Had to get rid of my defective 2003 Murano (folks, tell all your friends never to buy a CVT transmission vehicle, especially not a Murano. Flawed CVT transfer cases leak and break (1200 to fix leak, 4500 if it breaks) on the Murano and the TC hasn't been redesigned since 2003, so even if you buy a brand new one it can fail at low miles. My TC was leaking and I only had 8 months left on the extended CVT warranty (which doesn't include the most important part of the drivetrain, the transfer case). Had to get rid of it even though my wife loved driving it. It was dangerous and it was going to be worthless if the TC or CVT failed. Nissan NA wouldn't do anything to help with the obvious manufacturing defect. I filed a NHTSA complaint to go with the other 200 complaints about the same thing. Maybe Nissan will be called to the carpet when they start killing people...
I'm thoroughly impressed with the CRV and the Honda dealer who did a great deal for me. In and out in 2 hours. Deal was done in 15 minutes. My wife is happy as she can be. We're actually getting gas mileage (the Murano barely managed 17mpg over a tank). I'm seeing 23-25 on the CRV computer and haven't even been on the highway yet.
I look forward to learning all about my "new" CRV on this forum!!
