Ok so I drive a 2003 Honda civic ex 5spd with a d17. It's not fast and to make it fast is far impossable d17s are lame to build anyways. I was thinking about gettin a project and building it. But I would be on a budget of about 3000 that's the car plus mods any suggestions to what I should get and what mods to roll with to get that pushed back in your seat feel or is there actually real possibilitys for the turd??? But I would still like a project anyway just to play with in my sparetime. Well lemme know what yall think0

The usual answer I think you will get is do a b series swap since its the cheapest and easiest to do, but me, I would build the d17, I've seen people build and boost them close to 400+hp but that would require lots of money, since your on a budget of 3000, i would go with a bswap or maybe a kswap, in the end its up to you. I know that doesnt help but at least i gave an honest answer lol
Well I found a 2 door accord shell with a moonroof for just 300 bucks quarters have the typical cancer though.... I'd like an h22 swap but heard they are not the easiest and some one told me that finding cv axles in not easy nd custom parts is way out of budget

thats good, just make sure to fix the rust and any body work before you put an engine in, my civic has a dime size rust area on the drivers side rear wheel well but its surface rust thank goodness, i sprayed rustoleum paint on it to protect it for now until i sand it down and repaint
