my co-worker seems to think that the original Disney version of Alice in Wonderland is about drugs...her reasons are the purple striped cat that smokes its skinny pipe, the "candy" that makes her shrink, and the Mad Hatter. i guess someone told her that a while ago when top hats were in style the manufacterer would stiffen the hats with mercury and wearing the hat too long would have the mercury seep into the top of the head making u either sick or drugged i guess...i dunno, has anybody else heard of this...i kno Disney is notorious for puttin subliminal messages in their old time classic movies but i jus couldn't believe this one
"A "through the looking glass" Mickey Mouse cartoon was also made, in which Mickey passes through a mirror into an alternate reality and discovers that everything he believed was real is actually just a dream conjured in his mind by machines that hold all of humanity captive to be used as sources of bioelectric power. In the end, Mickey triumphs over the machines using a combination of mental mastery and dance."

You're almost right with the Mercury thing. They used to use mercury to cure the felt in hats, so with no regulation this guy making the hats just sat around all day breathing in Mercury fumes. Over time as it built up in his body it caused Neurological damage and eventually psychotic episodes. Then of course, death.

that site is such utter crap. he incorrectly names every actor in some movies, has facts all wrong in every detail & takes every moment of each movie so far out of context, that it's not even related to the subject.
even his 50 greatest movie lines are wrong, completely wrong
