Have any of you seen the tv commercial for the dreamcatcher that will have the animatrix . Is animatrix suppose to be the matrix but in cartoon version. Please some one explain.

What it's about im not quite sure. I dont think it really relates to either of the two new movies at all. It was done by the same people who made the Final Fantasy movie. But i dont think it is like a preview of what to expect in the next two Matrix movies.

Animatrix is a series of 9 short animated films based on matrix theme, you can download the first 2 already. All 9 will be released on DVD on June 3rd. They're not really related to the main Matrix story, just a series of spin-offs that happen in the Matrix world. www.theanimatrix.com

each of the episode is done by a different director so hte animation style will be different in every episode. the episode "The Second Renaisance" looks to be a prequel of how the conflict between humans and AI's got started.
