"Numbers" F&F style episode

Yet another show has jumped on the bandwagon with an "import street racer" based episode. I catch Numbers on CBS Fridays sometimes, usually I like it but this time I couldn't help but critique all the weak attempts to use legit terms or technology. They must figure nobody watching will know any better anyhow. Some things I caught:
1. Most of the cars were ricey F&F style, with just a couple cool drift style rwds.
2. The car involved in the fatal accident being investigated was a 96-00 Civic coupe. No biggie, but...they were remarking how the grille (which was actually bone stock, mind you) was "custom made", they later determined it to be from a 94 Civic (which in fact has no grille at all.)
3. They wheeled in some mechanical monstrosity to the FBI lab on a cart. It appeared to me to be the rear pig from a dump truck, with a massive diff case and gigantic ring/pinion gears. But I stood corrected when they revealed it to be the differential from the afore-mentioned Civic...with an "Ultra-Lock" lsd that's illegal in the US!!! Ooooh!!!

Anyways, just getting tired of having to roll my eyes from all these mainstream shows trying to capitalize and all they show are ricey crap and toss around ridiculous and inaccurate dialogue.

If you are expecting a prime-time network TV show to actually have factual, insightful, and believable dialogue.... well I don't know how to put this... keep waiting, cause it sure as hell won't happen anytime soon. Every show is an exaggeration of the truth, thats why its called fiction, andthat is why it is "entertaining", gotta dumb it down for the masses...

I'm not expecting anything, except maybe they'll realize the whole thing is totally played out and they ought to just move along and leave it alone.
Just about every import owner on TV is portrayed as a thief, drug dealer, vehicular manslaughter suspect, or otherwise non-law-abiding citizen. They just keep propagating the stereotype.
