tach 03 AV6 vs. RSX Type S

Okay People, Im buying a new car soon. I have narrowed my shopping down to two cars, the 2003 Accord V6 6 Speed, or the 2003 RSX Type S. Now, my problem, I heard the AV6's have more midrange powen insted of lower range power and the RSX has more lower end power. Is this true? If it is, Should I sacfice 40 horses for more low end? I guess the battle is between 4 cylinder and V6. What should I do? Opinons welcome, knowledge is very welcome. Thanks, and happy racing.

in my opinion, i like the rsx-s than the av6. I like the styling, interior, and it's quicker from 0-60. And plus you know you're gonna be seeing accords EVERYWHERE in a few months. Rsx-s have been out for over a year now and i've only seen about 2 since. Plus i think it's cheaper than the accord, not sure though. :

You must NOT get out much!

Get the Accord! Look a lot nicer inside and would look DOPE with a boby kit on the outside! RSX has a REAL funkey looking front end if you ask me! the RSX-s would be faster at take off but, AV6s would kill the RSX at high end! The 4 just dont got TORQUE!!

ur joking right? Every 16 year old gurl in my school wants the rsx. Theres prolly over 10 of them in the lot right now. As far as accords everywhere...i think you'll see more type-s' than 6 speed av6's. Just my opinion though.

The car you get should depend on what kind of modding you are going to do. If you are going for speed, u might want the rsx. There will be more aftermarket support within the next 3 years.

Me, I'd go w/ the accord because I like a mix of everything.

No.

The AV6 has decent low/mid-range, and killer top-end.
The RSX-S has very weak low/mid-range and killer top-end.

The AV6 6MT will be the better performer overall.

The RSX-S will go from a dead stop to 1/4 mile in about 15.0s @ 94mph. But the AV6 6MT will do it in about 14.5 @ 98.

If low-end is what you want, then that's the last thing you're going to get out of a very high-strung 4-banger. Engine displacement is what gives you strong low/mid-range power, so get the AV6

Get the AV6 coupe! The AV6 6sp is even a better deal but it's hard to get your hand on it.

I like everything of the new accord coupe 6spd better than the RSX-S. Really, there's nothing like a high revving V6!

The AV6 6spd is better in every way except handling, but it should be for the ~6000 price difference. You will not be able to get a discount on a 6spd while RSX's are being discounted heavily.

Yo, Honda is putting out a factory performance suspension kit for the AV6. It will lower the car approximately 1 inch and Improve handling. RSX will never be able to compete.
