04 Short Shifter?? Lever (kit) vs Adapter

I wanted to accomplish two things for my 2004 Accord EX 6-speed v6:

1. Decrease the shift throw (done using an adapter - from what I've read)
2. Shorten the high of the shifter; i.e. a shorter shift arm (lever)

I have read mixed approaches. Some people have just cut 2 inches of the shift arm which lowers it and would decrease the throw, albeit not as effectively as an adapter. Other have gotten the adapter but this would obviously not effect the height of the shift knob. For some older models (and other makes) you can but a kit which includes a shorter arm and adapter. I have not seen anything like this for a 2004 6-speed.

Has anyone come across any kits for 04 6MT or has a suggestion???
