A guy on TOV just did a dyno on his 08 Accord V6 Sedan and put down 224whp and 201WTQ after 3500 miles with premium fuel all of its life so far. Those sedan numbers above are of a beaten sedan V6 that was a test mule for many different people as well as not seeing premuim fuel except for the last tank they just refilled!

That's a bigger difference between the two than I would have thought.

Running premium in a car that doesn't call for premium can actually decrease the power in certain circumstance.

For certain cars this is true like the 6th gen Accord V6 but not for a 03-07 Accord V6 or a 08 Accord V6. Its already been dyno proven that the 7th and 8th gen Accord V6 gain HP and TQ with Premium fuel.

i'm assuming that is true because the 98-02 V6 accords have no knock sensor, hence no knock detection which translates into no power improvement because there is no real time timing adjustment based on..'knockage'. hehe

03+ AV6 have a knock sensor and do use it's input on ignition timing. higher octane fuel = more aggressive timing can be used = more power.

that's the only way i can see the reasoning on the higher octane fuel = more power on 03+ accord v6s.
