Question Accord V6 climate control display burnt bulb

My climate control display doesn’t light up anymore at night. According to the Honda garage they do not know it there is a bulb that is involved and if so what kind of job is required. They seem to think that the dash has to be pulled out in order to view the problem. Can anyone help?

remove the clock. use a small flat time screw driver to pop it out of it's holder. careful not to scratch the trim panels.

now that you have the clock removed, remove the 1 screw behind it holding the panel in place.

remove the two screws below the panel that also hold it in place.

remove the panel! now you can see the bulb, unscrewed, etc.
same thing with the clock. it has a small, 1/4" round bulb.

Got the panel removed. There are these metal clips all around that hold the panel in it's place. You have to use a bit of "encouragement" if you know what I mean in order to remove the panel. After that I just disconnected the cables that hold the climate control in it's place and removed the bad bulb.
Note these bulbs are not identified so therefore I took my chance in removing the one that is "black." I tested it with my voltmeter and that is the one that is burnt. :w00t

Awesome, you have the same problem I do! So you take out the climate control and then out of the 6 bulbs on the back of the climate control you replace the black one? I believe the other 5 are white, correct? I have been working on this all day and finally, someone with the same problem.
