Accord V6 Coupe Stereo TECH questions

I didn't want to post this in a non V6 forum, so anyways... I have a 2001 AV6 Coupe, and it has the 6 Disc cd changer in the dash. I am trying to find out more information on what brand head unit it is, and what kind of speakers it has. Someone told me that it has a built in amplifier somewhere, is this true and also where is it? Also, how do I remove these items? Thanks!

There are no factory amplifiers in your system. Do you really care who makes the OEM HU? There are 6.5" woofers in the doors and tweeters on either side of the dash. 6"x9" in the rear. Pretty standard OEM stuff. The HU is pretty decent - very convenient. I sold mine for $500 when it was 2 months old.

No I don't care who makes them, but this dork was trying to tell me that it was a bose system with a built in amplifer and he wanted to buy the system when i take it out to install a better one. But I didn't think it was... although if he wants to believe that then I will sell it to him for a BOSE price. =)

I can assure you it's not made by Bose. If you can sell it to him for a "Bose" price, I say you jump on it.

It's either made by Panasonic or Alpine (the head unit) but I don't know about the speakers.

It's an Alpine system. But, if the guy wants to think it's a Bose system - that's his business.

it was made by honda motors, head unit is oem (if it was bose, you would see BOSE on it) same as the speakers, bose on the grills, speakers are made out of cardboard, change asap get new component, no powerd amp, but the front speaks are component speaks, so the bass is in the woofer and the tweets get your hi's. only a filter seps the two.

The headunit is made for Honda by Panasonic, the speakers are made by Pioneer. The amplifier is integrated into the HU- there is no separate amplifier. As stated previously, the front component speakers have no crossover.
