I am running a pretty decent sized system, with 2 twelves and i wanted to know if it would be a good idea for me to get an AEM Tru Time Pulley...and is it true that my car will stop while in idle??

Dont think it will stop in idle but for sure your battery is going to be drained big time. I have no extra audio or electrical added to my car when i got my AEM Pullies and my battery already started dieing.
if u really want aem pullies ill sell u mine, dont even have to pay shipping, u can come pick em up locally
theyre blue and come with belts, i took them off Sunday, i've been running them for about a year and i probably have 10k mi on them,
get back to me

Well can i keep my old pulley and if in the future i want to put my old pulley back on can i?...and how much hp at the wheel can i expect with denso irridiums, CAI, Catalytic Converter, and PulleY? and i already have a Greddy EVO CATBack

maybe 12hp at the wheels if you're lucky. the EVO already strips some low end torque, so you might not even feel anything.
aem pullies not a good idea on ex V6?
the ex barely has more power accessories than the lx
my battery never died with the aem pullies, well only when the alternator died and the car was running off only the battery
my batter light alway stayed green too, i did mostly highway driving with them anyways, in the city i wasnt at idle for too long, and if i was i just revved it to 1000rpms for a while
the only difference i felt with the pullies after i got them was that i could spin the tires more easily and i had a bit more low end
now that theyre off, i dont really feel a difference, though i've only driven the car like twice since, and havent got a chance to floor it
bnut dynoed his pullies when he got them and he got a 10whp increase in the midrange i think

so you're sayin with all those mods i just noted up there all im going to get out is 12hp at the wheel??...damn dat sounds pretty off cuz in an article it showed an evo gaining 9.3 hp nd a guy tol me that the pulley adds 7-8 hp at the wheel nd this is the same guy that owns protech performance down in atx

LOL, dont listen to protech man, bunch of fools running the place, just want to get a quick buck
and that 9hp gain with the evos is bull, i doubt they can give u that much hp, if so maybe all in the high 5k rpm range
u do lose torque down low though, lots of it

nope, you'll probably gain more than that. i would say 6-7 for intake, 4-5 for exhaust, 2-3 for plugs, 2-3 for pullies, and i dunno bout the cat. that adds up to about 15, i might be being a little optimistic tho.
but if i were you i would ditch the cat and pulleys, and save up for headers.
I have AEM power pulleys and I think they made a great difference, people claimed to get more HP out of the pulleys than intake or exhaust. I would recommend getting power pulleys becazuse after all it only runs an average of around 140 dollars right?. Some people take out and just leave the AEM power steering pulley and take the alternator pulley out to reduce problems with the alternator and battery but I've had mine on for awhile; no problem beside my battery dying lol.Now I have running an Optima Yellow top battery and slight batter problems but I've had my pulleys on for about a year, just get a optima yellow if you want to run pulleys you should be fine. I've noticed a little bit less power steering though but nothing very noticable. I hope that info helped you =:

The AEM Pulleys are the only product to receive a NOT RECOMMENDED rating by the me and the former mods of this site.
If you drive in rush hour traffic, its a virtual guarentee that the pulleys will kill you battery within 6 months to a year. The pulley's have also been known to kill your alternator eventually. AEM blames the failure of the alternators on poor installation, but DVTURK and I had ours installed by our Honda dealer. Various other folks have had their battery and alternator die from these pullies.
Is it worth the $600-$700 in replacing your alternator and battery? I don't think so. Neither do countless others who have had to replace everything.
BNUT has the magical V6. Nothing goes wrong with it and all his dynos are higher than everyone elses....plain and simple. His car just runs well and obviously was built perfectly. Too bad 99% of our cars don't do so well.
AFter taking out the pullies, I didn't notice a huge difference. To my butt dyno, I just wasted $600 to replace my alternator and battery and wasted $125 for the stupid pullies. Just not worth it in my book.
