brake light comes on then goes off

I have a 2000 Honda Accord coupe v-6. When i start my car up the brake light comes on and stays on for about 15 minutes, then goes off. Honda told me to replace the float on the resivor, but thats $50 and it might not fix the problem. Any possible solutions or anyone else had this problem? Thanks

had same issue. could be some wiring/bulb loose in the rear. just go back there and ensure that all the wires/bulbs are secure. i would even give all the wires to the brake light a jiggle to get contact.
