Does the tranny cooler help the accord v6?

Hi im new to this forum i was told that the tranny cooler will help the tranny to shift better and more life to it its it true?

in theory yes. but imo, the tranny cooler on this tranny will not signifignantly increase it's life. what's more important for this tranny is renewing the transmission fluid every 15,000 miles or so(using honda atf), or if you just bought it doing a triple flush isn't a bad idea.

So it wont last longer but its it a good idea to put one or its not worth buying it? And thanks for the advice on changing the transmission fluid.

i'd stay away from installing one unless you plan on towing or hauling heavy loads.

i installed one on my 00 AV6 only to find it started to make strange noises. it already has a factory cooler in teh radiator though.
