Suggestion Box

I have noticed that the AV6 Forum seems to be dead alot and now here is your chance to tell us (Moderators) what we can do to make this forum more interesting to you. Give us some tips/pointers to help us improve this forum.

1. More articles/more DIY'S (Working on it)
2. Sticky for the sponsors to advertise more in here. (Working on it)
3. Available mods for each gen AV6.
4.

Honda this week said it misprinted a toll-free auto-safety phone number in 1.2 million car manuals for the 2006 model year. Instead of an '888' prefix, Honda printed an '800.' And customers who attempted to use the phone number didn't get just any service. They were greeted by a phone sex line — "for live one-on-one talk with a hot fantasy girl." In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Honda said it would send postcards to owners and dealers with the correction

i think we should have a sticky for people with upgrades to post their setups and what they do and dont like about each thing. this would really help noobs, including myself even though my official sho status isnt noob anymore, about what we should get.

DIY articles would be great.

Also, cultivate new users. I, for example, posted a 'greetings' first post. On most forums a moderator and a few of the active users will take a small amount of time to say "hello" and make you feel welcome. It's a small thing, but I think it makes a difference in setting the tone of the forum.

I think a few sticky posts with things like replacement lamp numbers, torque settings, fluid capacities/viscosities, color codes, etc. would be cool. I know they are in the manual, but it's still usefu to have that stuff online.

V6 Sedan specific advertising would be cool too. I'm not doing much to my Accord, but I hate hearing about a cool product only to find that it is not available for my V6 4-door.

I am about to get a 97 Accord v6. I have been looking for performance parts, and as everyone said, they are a bitch to find. I think a sticky with where to get parts, prices, and how they worked out would be great. I have previously owned 2 civics and I don't know how much I am going to like not having easy access to good performance parts. Guess I should view it as a challenge! Also I have read a little bit about the 6th gen V6's and some people say they are rare? What all years did they make them and do they really only come in automatics? Thanks!

im still new to this forum but ive also noticed there isnt much here. i think more vehicle specific talk woujld be nice, maybe a messageboard strictly for b.s. (like a garage forum or something) just to post random things, and still have the accord specific forum and such. maybe some features...like what some of the guys are up to here in the forum...just more in detail. just some ideas...

try to encourage more tips for performance enhancements. (line 3 above) As far as I know, after market wheels, suspension, cai, catback I'm done with my '05 coupe, and, my wife won't let me make more noise so no catback ex. This forum seems stuck without additional bolt on modifications for the 7th gen and newer cars. No one is sharing while they push the envelope?
