tech wrench Tuning a 98 Accord V6 help!!!!

I really need help getting more performance out of my accord for as little money as possible. I see all these people thowing in turbos and such and not doing much for their car for the money. I still want it to be street legal, but I would like it to run nice down the strip. I can do all the work myself on it. Any suggestions as to what to throw in it?

get a new car if you want to go fast!!! J/K! the transmission on this car already sucks and i dont think putting in a turbo would make it better. adding more power to the engine would just fry your transmission(literally)!!

tech wrench

There's no tuning you can do to these cars? I thought Honda's were all about modifying without adding parts. Hence the name "tuners". And thanks for the comment above, I already know the car is a piece, but was hoping to do something to get it to turn 12's at least. Not looking for anything major.

what the hell are you talking about. no hondas are slow stock. you need to add parts to them to make them go faster. then you TUNE and what are you bitching about my post for? i told you what you would need to make your car significantly faster. it's a heavy fwd 6cyl turd. you need boost and weight reduction. and 12's are major for that car. that's as fast a 6.0 gto. fastest stock honda's (nsx) run 13.8

yeah WVU97GS-R is right. nothing basic is goin to get you that kind of performance out of an accord. it would take thousands and thousands of dollars to even come close to that.

the v6 accord has A LOT of different goodies and set ups (crazy swaps too). But like WVU97GS-R and ballahs-crew says... it will take A LOT OF MONEY. Whats your price range? Then we can throw out suggestions that you can handle. can you handle a comptech air box? Can you handle a 3.2 CL-S swap?

I've personally seen an 02 AV6 go from stock.... to a high 12 second car. And it wasnt cheap at all.
