you should really just stop talking and the ridgeline engine is a poor example. that's just a stupid idea. putting a chevy into a ford would be dumb and would be a valid point. but putting an ls1 into lets say an rx7 or 240sx is a genius idea. japan can't touch the simplicity and the dollar per hp made by american v8's. vtec and vvt doesn't really mean shit compared to the potential of today's v8's. and the gas argument doesn't apply here considering most of the performance v8's make over 2x's the power of your average 4 cyl and pull about 26mpg + on the highway while doing it. to put it into perspective, a shitty b16 costs the same if not more than an ls1 swap. not to mention it doesn't respond nearly as well to modifications as the ls1. put a motor like that into a balanced chassis and you have a killer.
He's not Japanese, he was referring to the languages he can speak. He's capable of speaking English, can probably curse and ask for a beer in Spanish and has heard his girl moan in Japanese in bed

i disagree bro. you see tons of "fummins'" out there (fords with cummins diesels.. well not "tons," but as many as i've seen v8 small imports), and i've seen lots of bastard swaps that worked out just fine. 572 f150 anyone? if you like a certain manufacturer's bodies and another's drivetrains, and have the know-how, materials, tools, and money, i say make your own path.

why the f would anyone do that? now a titan motor in a ridgeline, nah nm i just don't like ridgelines, not to mention i'd just throw an LSx at it & call it a day if i had to build one. as for an accord, i simply wouldn't swap the motor, but i understand why ppl put h22s in some of 'em. still a family car to me though.

i'm not saying that it's a bad idea. i'm saying you have plenty of v8's to choose from if you already have a ford that would easily go into the chassis....even though chevy v8's are bettter imho. like if i had a 1995 5.0 i'm not gonna go buy an ls2 and custom fab it in there. that's what i mean. but if i had an ls2 sitting in my garage. you're damn right that thing would be in my s13
