Question Accessory Socket

I currently have a 1999 Civic Si. The accessory socket does not seem to be working. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Could this mean the socket itself may be bad? Help a girl out if you have dealt with this before...
Thanks guys.

Might not be plugged in behind the dash. When u replace the stereo or take off the dash for some reason u usually unplug the power to it. If anyone has ever been behind there they might have forgotten to plug it back in.

Put a multi meter to it, if you dont' have one, ask around, someone should have one should know how to use it. First check for 12v dc. if you can't find voltage, check for continuity, put 1 lead to ground and put the other lead to the outside of the socket, if it beeps, then it's plugged in, if no beep, check to see if it's plugged in. It could be either or. if you need more help, PM me

Thanks...

Once upon a time back in 2003/4 I had the head unit changed out. The problem has been recent however.

I am on my way back to Tampa tomorrow and have some friends who may have a meter. It is just an inconvenience since I am driving from Cali with out being able to charge my phone in the car. Thanks for the input guys.
