hey guys i was thinking about buying an alluminum block for my b16. that way it would be alot lighter and alot stronger. what do you guys think about the aluminum block? is it worth it?

k there are these blocks from summit racing. i dont know if you have seem them. they are like all alluminum and made really strong. i think the purpose of it is so you dont have to sleeve it? im just trying to find out more information about it.
you are talking about dart blocks. those are completely overkill for anything other than a dedicated track car where you plan to make 1000+whp. even pro drag teams are still using stock blocks that have been sleeved. you must realize that those blocks are completely bare. they only come with the main caps and still require machining once you get it. it is cheaper for you to sleeve your current block. it will be much stronger than stock and will handle the abuse more than 99% of average people will ever throw at it.
