Anyone havin this problem?

I have an 02 Si so I'm not sure if my problem is just with the newer models or if everyone gets this or if its just my car alone but im on stock brakes and at times braking can be very good, it can also be weak at times, but whenever i have to break hard like goin fast and gotta push the brake a lil harder than usual it feels like (to be exact) rocks are hitting the bottom of my foot underneath the brake pedal. Its really wierd cuz if rocks were to be hittin the bottom of the car i wouldn't feel it right under my foot. Does anyone else get this problem when braking hard or have any ideas what might be happening (by the way i dont think it has abs so maybe its the brakes locking up??)

It's the ABS working (like b16a2racer said). ABS is standard on the 02+ Si.
