Anyone with a stock shifter please read.

When you have it in first gear (or any gear for that matter) does the shifter feel loose? I can move mine about an inch left and right when its in gear. Anyone else notice this?

Thanks

yah, im sure everyone gets that. it doesnt feel really solid, but ive heard you can fix it with some new bushings, such as neuspeed or energy suspesion? they give a more firm feel, as opposed to the OEM bushings, so it will feel snug when put in gear.

Mine moves a lot more than when the car was new. Things just wear out. I'm sure new bushings would fix it.

this may be a crock but a guy told me that if you rest your hand on the shifter , the weight of your hand will cause it to become "looser"....maybe there is a point there..........
But to answer the thread.....mine moves too, I think .........but i will double check on my way home....now you got me thinking:

Stock shifters feel very mushy. I have a solo shifter for an integra and es bushing and i highly recomend this setup. Shifts arent mushy anymore, nice and sturdy feel, and since its a integra shifter it sits about 2 inches closer to you.

Yeah I also heard that. I think that was a thread on the old SHO.

Yeah if you can double check for me on your way home, that would be great.

Thanks HEK.

It's natural, that's the way it is. But it is aggrivating and scary cause it feels like it may move out ro something!~

But I am probably gonna get a short shifter. All I keep on hearing is skunk2 is good! I think I may start to invest in a lot of skunk shit whenever I get the loot!!!!~

Peace~~~~
