loon was right, you'll usually get some flack for not doing a search first. I recommened the RS-R EX-MAG series exhaust. It's not obnoxious, and I like the way it fits on the 6th gens. It has a nice classy sound.
get a good sounding muffler, like rsr or apexi ws.
since you live in so. cali better not get those loud and nasty muffler. you can get those type of muffler if you dont mind me giving you some fix it ticket

for the price you cant beat a maagnaflow, on nopi.com i have seep compleete cat-back systems for under $400, you get real good quality with a lifetime guarentee it was a no brainer , also they sound sweet as hell
since you said you're not rich, i'd say go with a custom exhaust. it will save you a lot of money. i just recently got 2 inch piping, kept stock cat and stock resonator, with a flowmaster 40 series. it's nice and quiet, and when you step on it, it has a nice deep sound. i payed 250 for this installed, with a lifetime guarantee on everything. i'd say do some research around your area and see what kind of prices you can get.
or you could always just buy a muffler and have them weld that on to some 2 - 2.5 inch piping.
