well what do you want to do with it because the ultimate swap would have to be a k20a2 IMO.

I'm not going to throw up suggestions just yet, but seriously what are you expecting/planning for? what are your goals, Drag, Auto X, what plans have ya for this car basically? that all takes in to account to the final decision.

wrong. k24. makes the same power sooner and broader. not to mention you could swap the k20 head on and boost it down the road

coming from dsm i am sure you want to boost whatever you do and if you want to do that then you need to go ls/vtec.. it isnt going to be as pricey to boost a type r and most parts you can find to build the motor up at a junk yard so.. i mean if you got a tight budget that is what i would do..

what the hell are you talking about why would you want to go ls/vtec for boost? do you have any idea of what you're talking about. why would you buy a b18c5 to boost either? and to build ls/vtec "RELIABLY" it won't be cheap at all. A basic ls/vtec build is actually inferior to a stock b18c5, in every way.

but i still don't understand why you would want to waste your money building a frankenstein bastardized n/a motor only to boost it in the end

alright check this holmes.. dont question my inteligence on hondas or boost.. alright.. i never said a c5 was good for boost because it is built perfect for na and every single part that you need for a ls/vtec you can get at a junkyard.. so again dont question me.. alright and with its naturally lower compression it makes it good for boost.. now if you have any questions on how this is possible then let me know and i will take time to find you the answers since you are to incompitent to find them your self

No need to call anyone incompetent. the guy who started this thread is just new to the honda scene and was just asking for everyones opinion. anyways to answer the guys question, i would suggest u get a nice car alarm and engine immoblizer before u do anything =). theres alot of crooked people out there and might as well attempt to keep it safe before the honda thieves steal ur precious work.

werd on this... why not just ls boost... ls + vtec + boost = retardation... better have a lot of money and a lot of time, cause you want to boost on low compression.. not high compression... thats just asking for a blown motor...
