Anyone know where I can find sound bytes of an N1 exhaust? I think I'm gonna get one and I'm well aware of the power increases, but gotta here it first. Thanx

I don't know where a sound clip is, but my friend has one on his Si. With the silencer out it is very loud. Too loud for my liking, but you may like loud exhausts. I do have to say the car sounds like a race car when he takes off.

From what I can hear that sounds really good.

Is it loud inside the car? I have to drive back from Jersey to VA and if that thikg has a constant hummmm I will go crazy.

How does it sound at 75mph?

N1 is loud as hell. I think you must be nuts if you want to drive around town without the silencer in. You could kiss your stereo goodbye, and forget about having conversations in the car, you have to like yell practically. I agree with the above post, it does sound mean though, just really loud.

Ya they have them on www.groupbuycenter.com for about 250shipped if that. I have 4 friends with this exhaust and I have to admit it does sound good. Not too loud and not too quiet.

However, Apex'i has proven power gains. Greddy and Tanabe are also good alternatives.

O.k. here we go, I like the 5Zigen Fireball, it sounds perfect....meaning, nice and normal until you get on it (VTEC and WOT). At 75 it sounds fine it's all about what RPM you are at, but when I drive home I don't get a headache. I was originally going to go with the N1, but I thought it was too loud after I heard it. That is why I went with the 5Zigen instead. I didn't want my ballz getting broken by the cops and inspection time!!

I had trouble with this, my welds were coming apart on the resonator. I just got the new piece in and have to put it back on. If I could do it all over, I think I would get the greddy. I haven't heard it, but it looks nice and I don't think it's that loud (could be wrong, but the name is reputable).

The only reason is because I am nervous if my welds crack again.......but it is a sharp looking and great sounding exhaust.

BTW, DO NOT GET THE AXLE BACK, go with the Cat-back....This is my opinion!!! I think it's a waste of money......because you still have the stock piping. I thought about doing something like that and getting a custom pipe. But I just don't feel like it would be good. Some things just need to be together( same pipes throughout). Maybe because I am nuts and need to keep things uniform.

just ordered mine yesterday. suppose to came tomorrow. can't wait! i think if your gonna go for go get N1. Got mine for $475 fullcatback and hopefully with the silencer that was promised.

I have the APEXi N1 catback now for about 17 months. Used the silencer for 5 minutes the day I installed the exhaust. Took it out immediately. Besides making it quiter, it takes away power. I think if you get an N1 style catback, and install the silencer, it totally defeats the purpose of the catback. Yes, the N1 is LOUD, but like most things, I got used to it and like it.. YES having a conversation and listening to music is a little annoying, but that's the way it is.. Good luck.

freakin back orders on n1. I'm so pissed, from one day to another week they say. anybody know how long they can last and you think i should get my deposit back and go buy it somewhere else?

do you actually have an apexi n1 catback on your car? ive had mine for two years now, and its all even louder with the aem cai and the dc header- although i like the way it sounds with the silencer in (it also gives back a little needed backpressure) it sounds sweet without it as well, and it certainly doesnt make me have to yell, & it doesnt drown out my system either-
