My wife backed into the Si and put a golf ball sized dimple in my bumper. I picked up an aftermarket bumper($69.00) and I was wondering when I get it painted if I should Paint the center grill section EBP or leave it black. On a side note, I also have OEM fogs comming in which I might have color matched since they will have the paint in the gun. I have'nt seenany '00 Si's with the bumper grill painted to match the car..
Looking for opinions...

Ya I thought about it an I will probly won't paint the grill. She hit it again and now I have to get a hood too. I guess I will use this as an excuse to find a VIS or Fiber images hood now if i can find it a good price .

Yeah I wasn't to impressed. She said she is going to pay for the damages and I was thinking about going CF anyways but damn the $$'s crazy. I went to a local shop in tampa and I was quoted $480.00 for a VIS hood fiber images was :eek $580. I could get a stocker hood for $125.00 but I would still have to paint it. Good news is I just go my OEM fogs, bad news is I can't install till the new bumper is painted ..

I figured it would be cheaper to widen the drive way, but untill then I need to get the nissan(DD) back on the road again then the Si can be sittin comfy in the garage

Well I am going to look at this way she just bought my CF hood and OEM fogs, and gave me the incentive to work on the Si again. ** in the past 2 years the only work I did was the maintence** the spark is back and now I want to swap!

Your wife sounds like a wild woman! hehe...maybe she felt it was time for a new bumper and CF hood so she wanted to give you the perfect excuse. =) As for the grill, I personally would keep it black. I think it looks nice...I also think the CF hood would look nice. I have a CF hood and I really like it...it makes my car unique from other 6th gen hatches. But, it's whatever you like...you're the one who is going to be driving it.
Yea I am shooting for the whole blue/ black look. I don't want anything flashy I might even get the hood painted to match the bumper. Oh yeah I wasn't thinking of paiting the grill but the mouth/ air-dam on the bumper to match the rest of the Si. I think I am looking for the "one step above OEM look" and keeping it clean without going totaly JDM, know what I mean? Hell the car was built in Ohio I want to keep it as American as I can. MUHAHAHAHAHA
