New Engine

Hi All,

I am thinking about buying a new engine for my 1999 SI. But I want to keep the current transmission. Here are a couple of questions I hope you could help.

1. Which is the fastest and best engine out there that I can purchase, at the same time, will fit my current transmission?
2. where should I buy it from? Is it better to order from Japan or produced in the USA?

Thanks!
Joe

You can get the same motor B16a2 or you can get the b18c1 (GSR). And if you have money to burn get the B18C5 (type-r).

Ur tranny (b16) is better than the gsr tranny. If i were you and budget was tight i would go with the b18c1 and you can always build that motor.

Another recomendation when you get the swap try to get the lsd for you tranny. You can buy that off ebay even.
