I`m about to buy a 94` Si with JDM engine B16a(170hp) and JDM transmission. Beside the engine swap the car has JDM header ,Apexi exh,
Skunk2 cams and intake manifold, Aem cai. The owner asking 7500 for it .
The car also has a new paint job a pretty nice body kit, Tein springs ,Koni shocks, and 18" rims. I`m wondering if you guys could give me some advice about the deal and what I have to look for while test drive. According to the owner the chasis has 160k and the engine has 35k so is the tranny.
I truly appreciate any suggestions!!!!!

94 Si for 7500???
Sounds a little high unless everything is perfect.
Look for any knocking or rattling from under the hood, as well as bumping from the wheel wells during turns or going over bumps. 18s are going to ride like shit on that car, I would think.
Also, look for vtec engagement (a fairly drastic increase in engine sound and acceleration) around 5k-6k rpms. I believe it should be easy to hear/feel on a b16.
Try EVERYTHING on the interior. A/C, radio, windshield sprayers, all windows and locks, etc, etc, etc. Some motor swaps end up in electrical disaster like my friend in Charlotte who lost all his lights and locks after his swap.
Other than that, just make sure everything seems to run smooth and doesn't leak in the engine bay, and you should have a pretty sweet ride.

yeah... carfax to see if the chassis has been in an accident, lok for weld marks on the chassis under the hood, go for it...talk em down on the price!!gl :clap
check for little dents/dings/scratches/rust for him to lower the price. both the hatches in the link in my sig are both jdm motors and cheaper. dont be afraid to try all the buttons or test everything you have the right to know what works and what doesnt.

For all the good advice. I forget to write down a couple of more things the car has. A carbonfiber hood, a custom paint and a good sound system with pioneer head , infinity speakers and a 12" kicker. Also the car has a Mugen Ecu, Venom injectors and fuel pump, and Type R LSD tranny. I`m wondering
if the price is still too high with these parts included and also if you guys have any idea what this car should run on 1/4 mile ???

hey, so you did buy it? and checked everything out on the car? i bought my car for 3k and i was so excited i forgot to check the lights lol..got home and had to change one of the headlights, one tailight, and i had to buy an oem clip to attach the sideskirt...but for 3k whadaya want?

No I dod not buy it yet . I`m gonna meet with the guy tomorrow and check the car out!
