The 02 Si's are selling for top dollar because they are new and hard to find. When the S2000 first came out my local dealership was selling them for $50,000+ even though the sticker said $32,000. Same thing happened with the PT (Piece of Trash) Cruiser and the 1st gen Miata. It all boils down to supply and demand.

An S2K for $50k? Selling way over sticker price should be illegal. Probably is. The dealer saying, "oh but there is a high demand".. is more BULLSHIT than I can handle. I'm sure the new Si is a great car, but IMO not worth $19k. Honda can keep it for that price.. :

yea, i testdrove one of the new si's3 days ago, very dissapointing. The interior was pretty sweet though.

lol. I heard that. I dont know why the Si cost so much. Isnt the RSX around the same price range? It has to be 21,XXX

Supply and Demand makes since because you have to remember the dealers are there to make MONEY. If some dumb fuck will buy an S2K for 50,000 and I want it for 32,000, who are they going to sell it to? I have "friends" that bought their 00 Si's for over 18k. If there is an idiot out there that will buy it, then more power to the dealers.
