Opinions of MF-10L Mirror

or What do you guys think about the MF-10L in the mirror? Do you think it's worth it for a 15x6.5? Are they strong enough to survive Los Angeles potholes? What series tire would I have to run to match my current size of 215/45/16?

Any help is good help. Thanx in advanced...

mirror? don't you mean wheels?

Those are kinda expensive for lots of pothole driving... ($1600) and according from inline 4, they are rare... I would go with a knock-off, so you wouldn't have to worry about the pot-holes...

There's a "mirror finish" that I saw on the King website for civics.

Do you think running a 205/55/15 tire would prevent denting?

no... a 205/50/15 tire is better than 205/40/17, coz of the higher sidewall, but if there is big pothole, nothing can prevent denting...

Also, for $400 a pop, there will be a lot of jackers that would like to take your wheels... especially within So Cal....

if youre doing potholes, buy the rota knockoffs- still a really decent quality wheel, and for about the price of one of those mugens, you can have a full set of 15 inch rotas ($495 shipped) in whatever color you want- also, the tire size that works well is 205/50/15- im running that size, in the yokohama AVS, very nice tire which i definitely recommend.

hey myfly... I'm an idiot because I like the whole "Mugen" thing. You know I already have the MF-8's, but I've always wanted the 10's, but they were only in a 5 lug. I can also get them pretty cheap...not Rota cheap...but about %30-%40 cheaper. Call me an idiot, but I still wanna stay Mugen.

So the 50 series provides enough padding?

youre not an idiot because you love the mugen there are a lot of people who like to stay loyal to a certain brand- you should have seen how i was with my old racing harts- which im definitely getting another set of anyways, like i said, 50 series provides MORE than enough cushion for daily beating, trust me.

Someone else suggested a 55 series. : What do you think about that? I mean, the "L" is supposed to stand for light(at least that's what King told me) so I'm thinking I need as much cushioning as possible to make up for any stregnth lost. I gotta ask about these because it's another investment I don't HAVE to make, but I wanna make.

i live in upstate NY and the roads SUCK here- my rotas are also a little under 12lbs. a piece, so, theyre pretty light too- the 205/50 series is what you should run, its fine, it performs, and it looks good as well- theres no need for the 55 it really wont make a difference at all- seriously. and check out THIS PLACE for a really decent price on the Yokohama AVS's in the size you need- good luck.
