Ordered GC coilovers.

Ordered my GC coilovers directly from GC.

It was funny because all the places online that sell them wanted more money, and I had to wait for them to get them from GC and then ship them to me.

I called GC direct, and bought them for a better price, and had them ship them by air.

If any of you were going to ask "don't you have springs already?"

Yes, but I wanted the GC's instead.

I didn't get a custon spring rate. I talked to the rep for a while, and explained what I want them for, and what I expect out of them, and he recommended the limited edition ones.

The total came to 315.00 (or really close to that) That includes 3 day air spipping from CA. to VA.

What do you think? Did I get the right thing? Should I have gotton a custom spring rate?

Thanks

Also one of the reasons i got rid of the H&R's was because they were slightly bouncy.

At about a 1.5 inch drop with agx's will the GC's be bouncy?

The rep says no, what do you think?

Thanks again

Bounce has little to do with the spring rates but more on the quality of shock you matched them with. YOu could have awesome springs and crappy shocks and get bounce, Or have crappy springs and awesome shocks and have no bounce. Sounds like the rep didn't know much.

Sounds like you paid about the same as I did with Koni Yellows. My total came out to $930.

I know what you are talking about. One of my buddies got the H&R springs and I got the Custom GC's. His ride bounces alot more than mine does. I'[m glad I did it right and got the GC's. Good choice.

Just curious and all but I have two questions. 1) I was looking on www.modacar.com and was wondering is there any difference between the Ground Control Adjustable Springs Limited Edition and the Ground Control Adjustable Springs? and 2) I'm about to get suspension for my '00 Si and I want to buy GC coilovers and Koni yellows. Is there anything else I would need to buy? Any other small parts or pieces that I need to buy? Thanks.

The difference is that you can not get a custom spring rate with the limited editions. If you get the koni's, make sure you tell them because they have an extra part that is specifically for the koni/ground control setup that you need.

Cause I have been in an Si that had GC's w/agx's (webguysi's civic) and his didn't seem as bouncy.

they won't necessarily be bouncy...my friend just got the exact same setup on a 93 accord and he just turned the dial up on the agx's until he felt like the car was stable and felt good....basically he turned the shocks all the way up to 4 i beleive on the front and 7 or 8 on the back.

As v00tecsi said the limited editions cannot be ordered with custom rates. I personally like my custom rate GC coilovers. 350f/400r is a bit stiffer than my Eibach springs (1" drop) with Koni Yellows.

You need the extra part from GC cause the Koni Yellow shocks are skinnier than other shocks.

Can't really tell you. I don't consider kyb/agx shocks quality shock. You find this out by hanging out with autocrossers who of course would have the best shock Most of the people I've talked to have Koni Yellows, Bilsteins, or Moton shocks <-$1500-2000 a shock!
