If you have more than a few miles on the motor, it's a good idea to have it resurfaced. Most transmission shops should be able to accomodate you for less than fifty bucks. You don't need to go all out and replace it.

Just ordered a clutchmaster stage 3 w/flywheel

I have read as much as I could on this... Everyone says u might as well do it simultaneously... depending on your driving or racing.... I would only a couple of hundred more and u get the performance you want........

If you're asking if you NEED a new flywheel, the answer is a resounding NO! If you have low miles on the car and haven't abused it, you don't even really NEED to get it resurfaced, although it is a good idea. If it does have a few miles, have a transmission shop give it a once-over. If you want a lightened one, go buy one.
