yeah i can tell a slight difference. Climbes the rpm's smoother and quicker.
My only concern is there is a splash guard on the bottom of the bumper that is about 2 inches from the air pick up for it. I can't decide if i should trim it like the instructions say due to it helps protect from water splash. But I don't know if it is hindering air pick up... :bh

excellent choice
trim the plastic. the 2 inches you lose isn't going to protect against water splash that much anyway.

i thought about that when i installed mine. i came to the conclusion that it could possibly restrict it. if you're traveling at highway speeds and the passing air forces the splash shield up and against the intake snorkel, almost 3/4 of the intake would be covered. maybe this is why Comptech says to trim that panel

Then the trimmage shall commence this evening. Thanks for the input. They do say that you don't have to worry about hydrolock with their box. So I shall trim that shizzy tonite and give you my impressions!

I had another thread in the SI forum about it whether I should buy it or not then when i did I posted it's pictures silly!!!!!
Trimmage complete. Don't know if I can really tell a difference..
But on a lighter note I just performed the second "mod" on the SI when after my 3rd flat tire in a month I went a head and just purchased 4 brand new ones this morning.

When does your warranty run out?
I say you should open up a nice little savings account and then splurge it on a Type R head once your warranty runs out.
