PLease help

ive got a 1992 honda civic si but its not a vtec engine..does anybody know what the engine code for this car i thought it was the d16z6 but thats a vtec..please help me out

if the engine is stock it should be a d16z6. and it's spelled vtec.

it is supposedly the stock engine but it doesnt say vtec on it ???

just because it doesnt say vtec doesnt mean it isnt. the engine code is on the front of the engine, below the upper radiator hose, on a flat spot. D16Z6.

92-95 civics do say vtec on the valve cover...96-00 do not. Look on the block to be sure, anything could have happened???
