Port&Polish with Turbo?

a friend of my suggested that i get my engine port and polished for around 400 bucks. he said its a good step to get p&p before getting turbo. is this true? i thought that p&p was only for all motor set ups? is it still compatible with FI?

yes porting and polishing are accential in n/a and fi engines. it reduces turbulance and allows air to take the shortest route possible into the combustion chamber. it is also beneficial to p/p intake and exhuast ports for the same reason. Increased airflow is always good for any engine.
