protection against normal bumper/lip paint road damage

what do you guys do to protect your aftermarket painted lips/bodykits against normal wear and tear? I have a mugen lip painted EBP. I've had it on for about 3 months. It's starting to show signs of light chipping (not as bad as a fiberglass kit) from oncoming road debris. I've waxed it and taken good care of it. Do you guys experience the same problem. I've heard that there is such a thing as a clear protective tape to protect kits (by 3M). Is this true? or bs? or is the only solution to get it repainted? hit me back, thanks.

yea man theres like a clear sticker, probly about as thik as 5 coats of paint, go to your local paint shop and ask them if they have it. but its usually for the bonnet. could also work for your front lip, saves you those annoying little stone chips!

I've heard good things about StonGard http://www.stongard.com/sgcontent/default.asp Although, they don't make a pre-cut piece for the Mugen lip, I'm sure you could just buy a strip and cut it yourself.
