Question about Insurances...

What do you guys do when you buy something expensive like a turbo kit regarding insurance, do you just hope it doesn't get jacked, or report it. And if you do report it how much will your insurance increase?

yo if i'm late on tha reply i know but hopefullly you read this, get your kit and if you want to save money don;t report it if you want to pay for a dodge viper in insurance report it ( not that much but you get my drift) if you have full coverage insurance and your car gets jacked you still don't get enuff back to get your car to tha way it was. but it all depends on your age driving record and where in the us you live. it's not tha right thing but i wouldn't report anything becuz no matter what if they want your car they'll get it. all i got ta say to you is just keep your eye on your car ne way. (I know becuz I had a Supra RZ for one month didn't even get to study tha car yet to hook it up and they got me) and tha car didn't even have ne high pro parts at all bone stock ganked me! i got like 5000 back it sucked so now I got a 99 black Si with 219 to tha wheels and a lo-jack system and a code alarm. my eyes stay peeled !

Whenever you put money in a car you can expect to never get it back look how many people put thousands into a car only to sell it cheap. Most people will not pay for aftermarket stuff you make more parting itout. As far as INS I say just dont get it stolen.

I asked my insurance company about aftermarket parts (stereo, intake, etc.) and the rep told me flat out that I didn't have to report anything. All I needed to do is keep my reciepts and if the car was stolen they'd pay back for all parts (no labor) minus my deductable.......however if the car is recovered and there are still parts then I don't get to get the parts back.

The best thing you can do is get the best alarm money can buy. I like low jack plus something like a viper. Long story short: more is better.
