About 4-4500 if hes a good driver....

The V-6 will be able to take him off the line anyway, but the Si should be able to catch up, and win in a 1/4 race. That is if he can drive.

thanks for all the advice, I will tell him today.

So he should be able to beat me,if he is a good driver. I did a search on 1/4 mile times. I am seeing mid 15's with intake and exhaust. Good driver or great driver its going down to the wire

Basically they both are pretty close, but in the 1/4 mile the Si should win if he can drive. Yeah the Si with an intake, should be down in the mid 15's (see the sig)

At what rpm are you launching the car? Are you dropping the clutch or do you ease off?

I recommend 3000-3500rpms. Especially with stock tires.

I agree. I get just a little bit of wheelspin on some RE730 tires when lauching on an autocross track.

Ohhhhhh ehehh I missed the Generation

Is it a coupe? Auto or manual?

When I ran the 15.53 I launched at about 4k. I basically just dropped the clutch, maybe a tad bit of feathering, but mostly a dump. (Its hard to explain!!!)

I was just going to call you out v00tecsi about the 7th gen misunderstanding but you caught it in time, yeah he's talking about the 7th gen Accords which are decently quick, stats wise they should beat out Si (*cough* 80 more HP *cough* =) ).

Also ck2000, although I read your thread in the av6 forum, I forgot exactly which trim of v6 did you, was it the Sedan 5 sp, coupe 5 sp (is there only a 6 speed that's due next year or is there a 5 speed?), or sedan auto?

As for your friend, from what I gather: Rev to 3-4000 rpms depending on your tires, feather out till you feel the slightest traction, then dump the clutch and put the pedal to the metal.
