Question rear lip

i have a '99 white civic si coupe (EX in the states) and am searching for a rear lip that suits my ride. fyi, i already have the front si-r lip and have painted the side mouldings white. i also have the white / silver rims. soooo, basically, i'm looking for something clean, yet noticeable. so far, the only ones i've seen for the '99 si are:

the honda si-r rear lip
oem rear lip
and the ABS rear lip (plastic?)

anyone out there know of others...or have some feedback on the ones i mentioned? (esp. how the ABS rear lip one fits).

any opinions or pics are definitely appreciated!!

aloha,
Where did you locate the SiR rear lip and/or the oem rear lip? As for clean noticable rear lips available for the coupes the ones you listed are pretty much it. Peace

hey sam,

i haven't started looking for where to buy the type-r lip, but saw it on this website:

http://www.*********.com/civicweek/civicweek25.html

it looks like what i'm lookin' for, but i asked a friend today, and he guesstimated an over the top price ($550 CDN / $325 USD).

the oem rear lip spoiler i found on google at this website:

http://www.importspeed-south.com/october_2001.htm

this one looks pretty good too!

Aloha,
The rear lip on the white coupe is the one I've been trying to locate. Last I heard Honda discontinued it for an unknown reason. As for the type r lip I don't think its a direct bolt on it requires some modification to have it fit.

Showhatch,
Do you know if its OEM or aftermarket? I kinda think its aftermarket cause of the price. Did your rear lip bolt on perfectly or was it off ?

hi everyone. glad to see the website is back on.

anyways, i ended up getting the abs rear lip (like the one on the white civic). it looks tight. i love my ride even more now. i've already installed it. no bolts or clips needed. fits snug. total cost (lip and paint) = $200 canadian.).

Aloha,
Post some pics up. I'm really considering a rear lip for my Si too. I just hope I won't be disappointed; been through too many horrible spendings. Peace

love to, sam. as soon as the weather cooperates, hopefully by end-week, i plan and am looking forward to washing my car. i'll take pics then and post them.

the rear lip makes a nice, noticeable (but not flashy) difference to my ride.

ummm, how do you post a pic anyways.

Aloha,
When you're in the posting phase under the vB code section there will be a button labeled IMG. Click on that, a link box comes up and you enter the address for the image/s. Does this make sense?
