Retrieve Radio Code w/o VIN #?

Humanly possible?

My roommate was gonna throw away his old stock 2000 Civic Si Radio when he installed an aftermarket system in his car.

I got it from him but about almost 2 yrs have passed and he sold that car quite a while ago, and cant get the VIN # (I guess I realistically could, but the kid hates me now)....

Is there any way to get a code for this radio, based on what I have just in front of me? (possibly, model #'s, etc)...

They could probably do that, but they'll think he stole it, which is the purpose of the code in the first place, I think your shit outta luck, either that or hook it up and keep trying to guess it if you want it to work that bad. Unless of course you know somebody at Honda.

The only down side is that I dont have a 2000 Civic Si to test it on, so I guess I'm SOL unless I can find someone that can hook me up... maybe at a Honda dealership.

Ultimately, I just wanna sell this on ebay.
