synchros or shifting forks........... drive it till the tranny drops dog. Fixing it is often more expensive than just buying a used one.

TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP. There was a service bulletin for the sychros on the 99-00 Si. Several Si/SiR owners on SHO have had their sychros replaced. Honda will replace the sychros even if your warranty has expired, but the work has to be approved by a Honda rep first.

Here is the Service Bulletin (requires Acrobat Reader) http://jdmfan.com/service/tsb_01-082.pdf

what's up? when you say "scrape" are you referring to a grinding sensation? because if that's the case, i feel the same exact thing. and like you, i know im putting foot down all the way on the clutch. this only happens to me when i shift really fast though. when i granny shift, it's pretty smooth. it also only happens when i run it up to redline

Where in So Cal, my dealership in Westminster thought my problem wasn't serious enough to fix. Where did you take yours?

Mine always happened going into 3rd (sometimes 2nd)...and only at high rpms when shifting fast. There was a thread on here about red line tranny oil i think they said it helped that problem along with making shifts smoother.
