Question shifter vibrates with exhaust...

with my new exhaust, at a certain rpm range (4000-4500), my shifter vibrates/resonates with the exhaust note, i find this really annoying, and it makes my car sound like a POS on the inside

i know when i was installing it, there was a heat shield in between the exhaust/cat, and the shifter bottom, i left this shield there, and tightened it well

anyone had this problem? anyone successfully get rid of it and have suggestions on how to do so?

i would really appreciate advice on this one...

and damn't! pictures still to come...tomorrow hopefully:

i think we covered this a while back...b/c i remember specifically asking the same question you did about my skunk2 short shifter and my stock exhaust creating a rattle, yes its annoying, but unless you take the exhaust pipe down and either hit it with a hammer in the spot you are having the problems with or figure out a way to pull the entire exhaus down so as to fix the problem.
