Wuz up guys yeah i got a a 95 civic si i'm looking for a new motor to drop in i was thinking a b16a2 do you think it's a good idea and whats the difference between a b16 and the b16a2......i wanna build a motor that i can turbo.......

The b16 is the b16a2, just abbreviated.

b16a2 comes out of the 99-00 Si
b16a3 comes out of the Del Sol VTEC

Both are pretty much identical, other then one being OBD1 while the other being OBD2.

Then the JDM b16's are all stamped b16a.

The b16a SiR-II from the Civic Hatch SiR-S and SiR-II in Japan had 170hp and a little more tq, then the rest of the b16s.

Major differences of the b16a's are cable/hydraulic trannys and the OBD.


I have a complete JDM Integra XSi front clip with a b16a engine in it if your interested .. letting go of it pretty cheap too .. PM me if interested.
