its at 200 right now I wouldn't get it. you can find rebuilt ones for the same. whats wrong with using the intake you have now? why would you need to change the iacv just swap heads.

cause if i want to convert to obd1 i need the 2 wire iacv. there is nothing wrong with my intake manifold now. it just doesn't have the spot drilled out for the 2 wire iacv. and if i were to get that i could just have everything already together then basically just pull and swap it out. plus that would give me the options that companies make a cam for. since i'd have to get a y7 cam regrinded to be better suited for turbo. plus the obd1 conversion will help in tuning the turbo down the road. can you come up with a better route of doing this let me know, cause if there is an easier way to converty to obd1 then i'd do it.

you didn't say you were converting to obd1. you could get an obd1 im they bolt up. were you converting when you swapped heads or were you gonna wait for a little bit then swap to obd1. if you just want obd1 for the tuning of the turbo the I would wait on it and just get the head then start building the turbo kit.

well if i'm gonna have vtec, i need the auto p28 ecu so it will work with the 3 wire iacv. but it then that will throw a cel for the tranny, i think. so i was just gonna do the whole obd2 to obd1 all at once. so when i do install i turbo all would be well.
if the ecu won't throw the code then i'll just get the head and ecu and call it a day.

well, what year is your car? obd2a right. if you use and obd2 manuel p2p then it won't through a code, but if you want you can use this obd2a p28 I have sitting here. then you just got to get a head. the intake wont make you through a code if you use the right ecu for the motor

yea use you stock wiring harness and change the ecu to a 96-98 manual p2p and add the vtec wiring. and no I'm one of the most unlucky bastards who got a obd2 p28

What Do u Think About Thiz
I have a 2002 Vtec, Vti 1.6 L yes its 1.6L not 1.7L
I need this answer in detailed plz ppl dont really touch the topic that much or miss read the question. I wanna know that, everyone is telling me to get 4-2-1 headers but if vtec doesnt engage till about 5000 rpms wouldnt this extra power going to waste so wouldnt the 4-1 headers actually be more benefit because it also inclueds some mid range power and when it hits in the vtec would also hit in....so my main question is about the vtec and then its about if the 4-1 formation would actually be better.....
My second question is that i wanna do dummy dual side exhaust a lil after the headers and cat i want to split the pipe and run it out of the skirt infront of the rear tires so would this make me lose power or not effect it at all really going for the look on this one......some ppl say that i will lose pressuer but i also read that pressure thing is actually a myth u just need the exhaust air to escape with max velocity...(like a pipe which u squeze with watter the water comes out faster then let it go by it self)
And my third question is that i read that is u custom build ur headers they should work better than normal price ranged headers dont know if this is ture i found one guy who said yea do it one said it wont do shit but i would get it done from a welder/pipe bender not myself exactly..... http://www.headersbyed.com/bildbetr.htm anyone who could explain these in detail greatly app. holding off on what to do till i clear this up...
