joostan is an unknown quantity at this point
should i get forced induction?

would it be worth it to get a turbo kit for an eg civic si (D16Z6) with 144k miles? the engine still runs perfect and is still healthy...i seen a pretty inexpensive greddy turbo kit with TD04 turbo and i was wondering if my engine could handle it if i pushed only like..6 or 7 pounds of boost.

I got a buddy of mine who turboed his d16 in his 97 sedan and that sucker flies like a bat out of hell. We dynoed it at 175 =/ So hell i say go for it.

But he ripped the turbo from a trash eclipse and ran most of the tubing and everything himself.

So if he can ghetto it and nail 175 im sure you can get way more on a brand name kit.

Good luck bro

Johnny is a ricer. He drives a lil 94 civic sedan, primered with a 4.5" tip muffler and dropped on springs he cut himself. Johnny gets on the highway and with his pedal to the floor, he hits 80 mph in a quick 10 minutes. Johnny ends up bottoming out and swerves into his buddy Billy. Billy drives a 96 honda accord with a knock-off bomex body kit he found on ebay. Since Billy is an idiot, he could only find woodscrews and scotch tape to keep his body components on. Once hit, all his body components fly off the car and into oncoming traffic. From there, they cause a 20 car pile-up. Now thier buddy, Joey, who drives his mom's 87 civic sedan, wanted to race too but apparently removing his A/C and putting "powered by civic" on his windshield for more "power" wasn't enough to let him keep up with Johnny and Billy. Joey could only make it to the entrance ramp though, because he passed out of heat stroke. He runs the car into a guard rail and now traffic is all nice and fucked up....

See what your ricers do to people? So the moral of the story is to not be a ricer...if you already are one, turn in your keys to the nearest dumpster and bash your head on a brick wall until you forget you even bought the car....or die...whichever comes first.

Do a leakdown test and compression test to see how healthy your motor is before you do it. If its healthy, do et! *Points to sig*

On the contrary, all motor is for people who are afraid of high trap speeds.

Werd. Do a leakdown and compression test. Mileage really doesn't mean that much on an engine, especially if it was cared for.
