pic of me, the scooby, and the si
if you say so, i'll admit i dont know the pros and cons of some mods for the scooby. i do know upgrading to a fmi and better flowing downpipe and exhaust does help out. anyway the si is nice too. its reliable, sexy, roomy and can be alot of fun to drive too.

obviously none of you have ever owned and had to pay for insurance, repairs, gas, the car payment.. plus stage 2 cobb accessport and exhaust $2500 that some of us dont have lying around in our piggy banks!

im too cheap.. actually my car payment is still $500 a month and my insurance went from $300 to $224 so not that big of a difference.. but the si doesnt need anything fixed on it.. still attracts guys though

you bought a used modded sti and didn't expect it to have problems?
and when you upgrade your civic with the SC you want and all the other goodies like better brakes. you will pay the same if not more than what you had to for the sti in rountine service/repair bills. only difference is you'll be fwd as opposed to awd. and i would never ever buy a namebrand exhaust for my car. for the most part you can get a turbo manifold catback, mid pipe, and down pipe for 350 dollars shipped. and you think the accessport is expensive? wait until you decide to go with k-pro for your si. you'll pay an ass load of money and not even put down close to the amount of power of the sti with the same mods.

actually from the outside you couldnt tell it was modded.. it looked stock (except for the body kit and the subaru was shaved off on the back) after i had driven the car for a while and brought it into pdx tuning i realized it was my little nascar. i had to buy a $6000 tranny for my sti which was not really going to do anything for the car so i rather put that into a SC/rims/si grill maybe. i would buy a name brand exhaust just so it doesnt sound so ricey.. every exhaust i have had was not name brand and sounded like crap until i get greddy.. very sexy! i rather have a car that can last 300,000 miles not one that was barely surviving at 32,000... bash plus its more of a family car so when i have kids in 5 years.. oh and i am blonde now not red/brown

i doubt you see 150K without a rebuild once you s/c charge it. and give me an sti and i'll make that bitch last. the original owner just beat the hell out of it before you got it. i'm sure if he had your si before you that thing would be a piece of shit as well.

thats why i bought the si so i could have a brand new car.. i found the owner of the sti on nasioc and used it as a track car which i was unaware of and the dealership since it was a repo. i didnt say i was going to S/C it my bf did.. so that doesnt mean i am going to dont start assuming.. if you have 20k to drop into a car to fix it be my guest but i dont. do you have the money to buy a sti?? if not i dont know why you are talking shit.
