Absolutely. The best Honda car ever sold in the US was the 1989 Civic Si, and they haven't been able to top it since.

For those of you laughing, I am totally serious. I've owned/driven/raced/worked on Civics of all vintages from '84-08. While I loved my '00 Si, the '89 Si is still the best Civic package of all time - with nods to fun factor, feel, handling, and practicality.

And as far as the Getrag comment goes, a Getrag box doesn't guarantee a problem-free service life, but it does guarantee expense and lack of internal component availability. Just ask a few select Focus SVT and Mini Cooper S owners . . .

I just got my 08 Si Sedan last Monday and i have to say i couldnt be happier. I'd def recommend one to anyone. Theyre too much fun, haha.
