si without a sun roof !?!
I have a 89 civic si hatchback, but it has no sun roof!! I have checked and rechecked the vin and it IS a true SI manufactured in canada. Everyone that I have talked to says that SIs didnt come without it. I took the headliner out and all of the substructures are there and no mud at all. Im really confused... please help

what do the first seven characters in your vin read?
Don't just look on the door..i think you can find the code on the firewall up top somewhere...

ED7 is not an si..so whoevr
told you you had one lied
Just because its starts with an 2 does not mean it was made there.
All CRXs were made in japan and were shipped out. None were "manufactured" in canada. look at what the 11th character is...

4th-6th = car line and engine. ed7 = civic hatch 1.6l
7th = body type/tranny. 3 = 2 door hatch, manual
8th = position grade. 6 = SI civic hatch, manual seat belt, and is the only civic option for that position!
11th = assembly plant. H = Alliston, CANADA!
so im sorry to say but it is a SI and it was built in canada

Im sorry misread your post, i thought you had a CRX.
The reason you don't have a sunroof is probably because it was optional on the civics.
Sunroofs are STD on CRX si .

Pretty sure I have seen a few.
Atleast they had a sticker on the core support that said so

Doubt it was factory. Proably was in an accident or something.
Originally, they came from japan...Since japan stopped so did their shipment..

Chances of 2 of them in a accident are slim.
You really think just the core support was built in canda and shipped here for damaged cars. Doesn't make alot of sense to me
