Each country often adopts a different method of naming each model of their cars. Whilst there are some direct comparisons across the world, often the specifications of the car are unique to that country and no direct comparison can be made. For example your civic hb VTi-R was not made in the US or Canada but it would be the equivilant of their SI and SiR models (coupe), respectively. In Japan the HB VTi-R was also a called an SiR

The EK SI and SIR referred to on this board represent the 99-00 Civic Coupe. In Australia we also had the Coupe with the B16a engine. It was referred to as a VTiR. I believe the VTiR and SiR differ from the SI (US) as they had ABS as standard.

Hope this helps
