Some Input Please

Ok guys, last summer i had my 2000 Si bone stock. I was running 15.8-15.9 in the 1/4 mile. This year i'm hitting the track with a DC short ram intake, DC 4-1 ceramic header, and toucan axel back exhaust. Mid section exhaust is upgraded to 2 /34 and no cat! If you guys could give me on some info on what you think I'll be running with this set up i would appreciate it. Thanks....

You should be seeing low 15's. However, with a short ram intake you better keep that engine bay cool, or your going to run shitty...If I were you a would pick up a CAI before you run. Just imo.

Yea, you should have gotten a good 1/2 second from that. I would also go for the CAI. It really does pay. Especially for track runs. It will take to long for cool air to get to the short ram intake and at the same time cool it. Both will get hot from sitting on the line, but the CAI will get better air and cool off quicker.

absolutely- i don't think he realizes that you dont need all that wide exhaust piping unless your running some sort of forced induction- oh well- he'll se at the track

i don't know if I agree with you...the straw like tubing ( 1.125") stock restricts the exhaust from flowing......i noticed incredible gains ( not as much as a turbo.....) from changing to the Magnaflow mandrel tubing 2.25"......and I used to own V8's back when I was your age......

The stock exhaust on an Si is 2.25, but I put the cat back on so I can run with it on and then run with it off. That way I can see what the difference is. Plus I have just got a AEM cold air. So now my new setup is:
DC 4-1 Ceramic Header
AEM CAI
Toucan Axel back Exhaust
DC Short Shifter

I hope to be seeing low 15's. Does anyone this hi 14's are possible?

Your 2.25 is fine, you may be losing a tad bit of torque in the lower RPM, but you gained some up top power.

What myflysi meant was, if he has no cat at all he has next to no backpressure, and that isn't good for our torque less b16a without FI...
